Idea

Canada Soccer’s work in Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) is fundamental in shaping how we operate and engage with our soccer community. Inclusion is welcoming and valuing everyone regardless of differences.  Diversity is celebrating the richness of perspectives and cultures that make our sport so vibrant. Equity is creating opportunities for all. Accessibility is key, making sure soccer is open and available to everyone, irrespective of ability. Together, these principles guide our efforts to create a soccer community FOR ALL.

Canada Soccer is committed to engaging in collective impact to create equitable opportunities throughout the soccer ecosystem. We will practice accountability and transparency by integrating diverse lived experiences into our decision-making, ensuring that we uphold accountability while prioritizing clear and open communication in all governance and operations. Additionally, we will embed an equity lens into our policies, procedures, and processes to address exclusion and actively promote inclusion for everyone in the game.
